Justice Short Quits CHRAJ ?

President John Agyekum Kufuor has granted leave of absence to Mr Justice Emile Short, Commissioner for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to take up an appointment as an Ad Litem Judge (one appointed to represent minors or an incompetent adult in a lawsuit) of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.

A statement issued in Accra on Thursday and signed by Mr Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Press Secretary to the President, said the appointment, which would last from four months, commences on March 29.

It said during his absence Ms Anna Bossman, Deputy Commissioner of CHRAJ, would act as Commissioner.
The statement said: "President Kufuor wishes Mr Justice Short a very successful term at the Tribunal."
