‘Juju’ fails notorious Kumasi armed robber

Notorious Kumasi armed robber, only known as ‘Euro’ who was gunned down by the police on Monday July 3, 2017 according to residents of Aboabo has always boasted of his voodoo powers.

The deceased who was wearing a number of talismans with different colours and sizes around his waist they revealed, has consistently boasted to colleagues how he was fortified against guns and cutlasses which is believed to have aided his escape from police arrest in time past.

‘Euro’ and his accomplices including Short, Mustapha, Basit Obolo alias outlaw and Taller police sources indicate, have been involved in series of armed robberies, murder and car snatching in Ashanti and Tema regions.

It has not be established why he was not able with all his ‘juju’ to escape from police arrest or withstand the gunshot after the security returned fire when he ordered his boys to shoot them.

Police however indicate that he and his gang were hiding in an uncompleted building at Aboabo a suburb of Kumasi when a team of policemen proceeded to the location and spotted ‘Outlaw’ at the entrance

Police attempted to arrest him but his accomplices who were armed with Taurus pistols fired at police and in the process G/CPL Frederick Tawiah who had gripped Basit, sustained gunshot wound on his left leg.

In the process Basit and three of his accomplices escaped. Police returned fire killing the one that shot at the corporal popular known as Euro aged about 25 years.

Corporal Frederick Tawiah is currently on admission at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) receiving treatment while the bodyof the deceased has been deposited at KATH mortuary for identification further action.
