Workers of the Judicial Service of Ghana (JUSAG) have called off their industrial action following the release of funds by government to pay their outstanding allowances.

JUSAG members embarked on an industrial action over unpaid outstanding allowances detailing leave, fuel, overtime, and other allowances.

In a statement Thursday JUSAG said: “We are pleased to announce that government has released funds to cover our demands”.

It added: “We therefore call off our intended strike action with an immediate effect. We will therefore like to express our appreciation to government for honoring our demands”.

The statement further noted: “We, however, will like to call government’s attention to our consolidated salaries approved by the judicial council and submitted for approval by the President. We believe that the coming into effect of our consolidated salaries will stray any industrial action that may be related to the payment of our salaries and allowances”.
