I want to play with Ahmed Toure - Eric Bekoe

Former Asante Kotoko goal poacher Eric Bekoe has revealed his long cherished dream of playing in the same team with the club’s Burkinabe striker Ahmed Toure.

Both strikers were voted by a team of journalists as the club’s top attackers of the decade in a recent survey released by GHANAsoccernet.com.

Responding to the results of the survey, the 2007/08 goal king expressed gratitude to the journalists for voting him the best striker adding that he would love to play with Ahmed Toure one day.

“I have long wished to play in the same team with Toure. He is a great striker and I can’t wait to see him play with me in the same team. I can’t imagine what an attack that will be,” Bekoe said.

“I was not in the country when Toure won the goal king but I read a lot about him. I know he also heard about me and I believe all football fans who know our qualities, know how deadly the two of us will be,” he added.

Ahmed Toure was Asante Kotoko’s top scorer last season before leaving for a short stint in Lebanon.
