I’ll never talk about incompetent Buhari again - Obasanjo

Olusegun Mathew Okikiola Aremu Obasanjo, a former President of Nigeria has vowed never to speak about the incompetence of former colleague in the military now president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari outside the confines of the country.

Obasanjo who has been an avowed critic of the Buhari administration in the last couple of years, observed that it is the beauty of democracy to criticize the current president insisting he must not necessarily have to agree with him in most of his decisions.

“The President is my colleague in the military, he is my president and I am subject of Nigeria but I am a former President. I am not criticizing him a lot because it is part of democracy. I normally don’t discuss the situation of Nigeria politically outside Nigeria but all that I need to say about Buhari’s administration, I have said it in Nigeria. What I believe should be done I have stated in Nigeria. Only yesterday I issued another where I expressed my concern”, he told Ghanaweb’s Kyenkyenhene on his 21 minutes with KKB.



The former president in the interview insisted that his criticisms of the Buhari administration is part of participatory democracy and not borne out of hatred.
