Hearts coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has urged fans to measure their expectation of his team, insisting he 'cannot' promise trophies in his debut season.

Reality has hit the Japanese trainer after his side's disastrous international friendly against Al Ahli Tripoli.

The club has conceded nine goals and scored once in their first three pre-season games to heighten fear among their teeming fans.

The American trained coach has made a sensational U-turn after promising to win the double when he was signed few months ago.

He says he cannot promise the club's supporters of the Premier League crown.

“The Hearts of Oak fans have been very frustrated,” he said

“They want to see Hearts of Oak winning the league and also the FA Cup. Whether we can achieve that in my first year, I really don’t know.

"I am trying my best.I am not saying we can’t; everyone has a chance. But it is going to be difficult and challenging.

“Looking at the talent we have and how quickly we are adapting under me, I think it is a quite good possibility that we can shock everyone in a positive way.”
