Ghana Coach Avram Grant believes the absence of captain Asamoah Gyan in the team’s return leg fixture against Mozambique will not be a problem.

Gyan was excluded from the team that travelled to Mozambique on Friday after failing to recover from a hamstring injury.

The Shanghai-based attacker was chasing time to recover on time for the reverse fixture in Maputo after missing the first leg match in Accra on Thursday.

Grant who will now be depending on the likes of Jordan Ayew, Majeed Waris and Ebenezer Assifuah says Gyan’s absence will not affect the team.

“We were hoping to get him back for the second leg; that didn’t happen so we had to leave him out,” he said.

“I don’t think that is going affect the team, Gyan was could not play the first game but we won, I still have quality strikers and I will make use of that now.”

The Israeli training could maintain Jordan Ayew and Majeed Waris upfront in tomorrow’s game.
