Ghanaweb Awards Without Ghanaweb.com!!!

GHANAWEB.COM, arguably the most popular Ghanaian website, was excluded from the first ever Ghana website of the year award - the Ghanaweb awards.

Ghanaweb.com investigations reveled that, the organizers of the competition - Excellent Awards Company in association with Deloitte and Touche - only accepted websites designed, run & hosted locally. Ironically, some of the winning sites, unlike Ghanaweb.com, were not designed by Ghanaians and hosted outside the country.

In the competition, competed for by a selected group of Ghanaian institutions on the World Wide Web, MYJOYONLINE was adjudged website of the year by popular choice. Internet users also voted MYJOYONLINE as their favorite in the broadcasting-radio and Television category.

The awards is to encourage and reward local talent in the information technology sector in Ghana.
