Ghanaians will not throw NDC out for NPP - Afotey Agbo

Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Greater Accra Regional Minister Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Greater Accra Regional Minister

The Greater Accra Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Kpone-Katamanso Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo has called on the electorates not to make what he called the “unpardonable mistake” by voting out the National Democratic Congress government for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to the Minister, if that happens, the NPP government will tear down everything built by President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC government just as they did to legacies of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

The Kpone-Katamanso legislator was emphatic that NPP is capable of destroying every single stone buried by the NDC government.

Justifying his position, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, who is affectionately called “Lion”, told Bright Kwesi Asempa that “We know them, I know what they can do, they did the same thing to our first president, destroying visionary projects done by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah,”

He continued that, “I can recall the attempts made to stop projects that are helping us today; Asempa, are they not doing the same thing to President Mahama? The NPP tried to stop the construction of the Akosombo dam, the construction of the Tema-Accra Motorway and other major projects which are of immense help even to them today, but they fought it, and I can tell you that is what NPP is doing now,” the Greater Accra Regional Minister wailed.

He said President Mahama and the NDC government have done a lot of projects and continues to roll new ones out and by August this year, the President will commission more and the New Patriotic Party will run for cover.

“We cannot allow them (NPP) to come to power, if Ghanaians vote for them, they would have regretted later, they will make a big mistake, I'm telling you.”

“Ghana is not the same my brother," Lion told Ghana Dadwen host Bright Kwesi Asempa; adding that I received some foreigners who told me our country is growing very fast and I was surprised because there are some people who are constantly saying nothing is going on but I can tell you a time is coming Ghanaians will not travel abroad not because they don’t have money but because Ghana is gradually becoming like the Americas and the Europes.”

Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo posited that although some of his party members are predicting 57% win in the November 7 Presidential elections, he thinks Ghanaians will give the NDC 58%.
