Ghanaian teenager Asumah Abubakar has signed a short-term deal with Dutch Eredivise side Willem II Tilburg.

The 18-year-old striker penned a contract until the end of the current season with an option of one-year extension if he impresses.

"All the papers are in order, "Willem II Tilburg's technical director Carlos Aalbers said.

"It’s nice that Asumah will be playing for Willem II."

Abubakar had a successful trial with Willem II Tilburg last summer but could not sign a deal due to work permit problem.

But his acquisition of a Portuguese (EU) passport through his foster parents in Portugal facilitated the move.
