Christian Amoah vows to make Ghana proud Christian Amoah vows to make Ghana proud

The Ghana Weightlifting Federation (GWF) has named Christian Amoah as Ghana’s representative for this year's Rio Olympic Games.

The GWF was caught in a dilemma on who to select to represent the country in the discipline after team Ghana’s qualification for the games in Cameroun in May.

But after a thorough assessment by the technical committee the onus fell on Amoah who has gained rich experience internationally and the 17-year old weightlifter has promised to do his best.

“For now I am happy and Ghanaians should expect a good show from me. I am not going to promise medals though, but I will do well for the nation to do well”, he told Starr Spots.

Meanwhile, team Ghana’s official list for the multi-sports event is yet to be announced.
