GTA targets tourism avenues in Tema Port

The Tema Branch of the Ghana Tourism Authority says it is positioning itself to tap into the tourism potentials at the Tema Port.

To this end, the authority intends to collaborate with the GPHA to embed significant tourism components into the port expansion project.

Tema Regional Manager of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Gameli Dzordzorme, disclosed this when his outfit visited the Tema Port operational areas with children from the Hope Setters Autism Centre as part of the Chocolate Day celebration on February 14th, 2016.

They used the opportunity to tour several operational areas in the Port so as to acquaint themselves with the operations.

Gameli Dzordzorme stressed the need for the port to operate alongside tourism so as to tap the potential for economic activity.
