Europa League: Kumordzi sees red as Genk progress

Ghana international, Bennard Kumordzi was sent off during Genk’s penalty shoot-out victory over Budu?nost Podgorica on Thursday in the Europa League.

Kumordzi’s inefficiency at centre-back was exposed as referee Kalogeropoulos gave him his marching orders in the 74th minute at the Stadion Pod Goricom for a foul on midfielder Djalovic.

Genk’s 2-0 advantage from the first-leg was wiped-out with Radomir Djalovi? scoring inside the first 60 seconds.

The Belgian side was reduced to ten men on 74 minutes but held on and won it on penalties.

Kumordzi will miss Genk’s third round qualifying clash with Irish side Cork City.
