Ghana youth international David Atanga scored the only goal of the game to propel Liefering FC to a slim 1-0 win over Kapfenberg in the Austrian second-tier league on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old struck the back of the net with a clinical finish in 53 minutes to win the game for Thomas Letsch's young boys.

The 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup Ghana midfielder played a great one-two with team-mate Dimitri Oberlin at the edge of the area before he approached the box with force to bury his ball into the visitors net for the opening goal.

The visitors tried to fight back into the game but Liefering defended well. Atanga was replaced in the 83rd minute by Oliver Filip.

Atanga has now scored 9 league goals in 20 appearances for Liefering this season.

While he was enjoying a scoring night none of his two Ghanaian compatriots - Raphael Dwamena and Lawrence Ati-Zigi was in the Liefering squad for the game.
