Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah has welcomed the increased competition for places following the return of Adam Kwarasey.

Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey was named in the the squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations double-header against Mozambique after a two-year absence from international football.

The Norway-born shot-stopper called temporal time on his international career following a spat with goalkeepers' trainer Nassam Yakubu.

But the former Strømsgodset skipper has rescinded his decision after being named in the squad for the double-header.

But while Brimah insists rivalries can only benefit Avram Grant's group, he remains determined to keep hold of the No.1 jersey.

“He is very welcome. We have a good relationship because he is a cool and simple guy. His coming will make me fight more,"Braimah told Metro TV.

"In everything I do I like to win but, the coach will decide who starts."

Ghana will hope to secure an early qualification to the continental showpiece in Gabon next year with win over the Os Mambas at the Accra sports stadium.
