Association initiates community centre

Agona Nsaba (Central Region) 20 Nov '98

The Agona Nsaba Citizens Association, made up of Nsaba citizens resident in Accra-Tema, is to construct a library and community centre estimated at 250 million cedis at Agona Nsaba in the Central region. Mr William Sekyi Odame, chairman of the association, made this known at a durbar of chiefs and people which climaxed their annual Akwambo festival at Agona Nsaba. Mr Odame said 20 million cedis has so far been spent on the project under the association's three-year development programme for Agona Nsaba. Apart from providing 10 streetlights at a cost of 1.1 million cedis, the association has also purchased concrete poles worth 10 million cedis for the town's electrification project. The chairman commended the out-going Central Regional Minister, Mr Kojo Yankah, for his immense contributions towards the development of the town and appealed to individuals and non- governmental organisations to assist the association to complete the library and the community centre.
