AshantiGold's Awudu Nafiu out of MO Bejiaia's second leg clash

AshantiGold have been hit a massive blow ahead of Sunday’s reverse fixture of the CAF Champions League clash against MO Bajaia after defender Nafiu Awudu failed to pass a late fitness test.

The former Berekum Chelsea player who is the most experienced defender in the AshantiGold set up picked up the injury (ankle injury) during the Ghanaian side’s first leg game against MO Bejaia a fortnight ago.

Due to his injury he was rested for the club’s opening Ghana Premier League game against Medeama SC last week, but the effort from the club’s medical team to get him back onto the field has proved futile with the player failing to recover on time for Sunday’s clash.

The absence of Nafiu Awudu means that Desmond Agbekpornu will partner Kadri Mohammed at the center of AshantiGold’s defense in Sunday’s game.
