Akua Donkor bites Mahama

Founder and leader of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Akua Donkor has criticized President John Dramani Mahama for imposing taxes on cutlasses.

She observed the president’s action would negatively affect food production and lead to the shortage of food in the country.

Madam Donkor, who has in recent times openly declared her support for the Mahama administration, admitted that the president erred gravely.

She said poor farmers across the country face challenges on a daily basis in an effort to ensure the production of food for the populace.

The GDP leader stated that it was not prudent for the president to worsen the plight of farmers by imposing taxes on cutlasses, noting “Mahama was ill advised.”

In an interview with Boss FM, a local radio station, she lauded the president for imposing taxes on condoms.

Those making noise on taxes on condoms are people chasing other women to cheat on their wives, according to her.

ACCUSES FOREIGNERS

Madam Donkor slammed foreigners for destroying the environment through small-scale mining.

She said foreign nationals should be held responsible for the harsh economic conditions in the country and not the president.

What annoys me the most is the fact that these foreigners also threaten Ghanaians with guns for questioning their operations, she indicated.

She warned that she would storm one of the mining sites belonging to the foreigners, and shoot them for worsening the plight of Ghanaians.

Madam Donkor accused traditional leaders of allocating lands to foreign nationals to mine gold and destroy the environment.

SUPREME COURT HEARING

Madam Donkor was unhappy with the broadcast of the presidential election petition in only English language.

According to her, many people watched pictures on the television without understanding the court proceedings.

Madam Donkor insisted that the respondents would win the case.

SLAMS NDUOM

She criticized Dr. Kwasi Nduom, flagbearer of the progressive People’s Party (PPP) in the 2012 elections for forcibly retrieving the Toyota Tundra.

Madam Donkor said Dr. Nduom took the vehicle he gave to her before the alliance with PPP in the last polls.

She said Dr. Nduom took the wired action because she refused to state that the 2012 polls were rigged.
