Adu-Asare: Too many dirty people in Ghana politics

Too many dirty people have been allowed into Ghana’s body politic, former Adentan Legislator Kojo Adu-Asare has told STARR DRIVE host Bola Ray.

“Many people say politics is a dirty game: That’s because we have allowed so many dirty people to go into politics”, the ex-MP said Thursday.

The “swagger MP” recently broke down in tears when he appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry which is probing Ghana’s world cup fiasco.

The head of the Protocol and Supporters Welfare Union for the FIFA 2014 Mundial in Brazil could not fight back his tears as he recounted how much pain he had had to endure from Ghanaians despite funneling and investing so much of his personal and private resources into ferrying football fans to the international football showpiece.

Adu-Asare, who is now the Coordinator of the Youth Enterprise Support Fund (YES) that was set up by the Government to help startups of young entrepreneurs, toldBola Ray that he sobbed at the Commission because he felt hurt by the numerous accusations of corruption and graft levelled against him because of his mere association with the World Cup organising team.
