AFCON qualifiers: David Accam ruled out against Mozambique clash

Chicago Fire striker David Accam has been ruled out of Ghana's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique due to a knee injury.

Accam sprained his knee in training and expected to spend two weeks in the treatment.

He will not report to the Ghana camp in Accra to prepare for the first leg qualifier against the Os Mambas on Thursday.

A club statement read: "@iamdavidaccam will rest & rehab a knee sprain the next two weeks with plans to play April 2. He will not play in Ghana's upcoming matches."
