AFCON qualifier: Jonathan Mensah sure of victory

Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has confidently predicted victory against Mozambique in Thursday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Black Stars will be aiming for a third consecutive win Group H after accounting for Mauritius and Rwanda last year.

Ghana lead the Group and are favourites for the first leg tie against the basement boys at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Mensah, who plays for Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, says the Os Mambas cannot be a stumbling block.

“Ghanaians should expect nothing but a win. We are ready for the clash and we need all of you there to support in your numbers,” he said
