AFAG Warned Nation Wreckers

…To hands off or be crushed!

Prior to their demonstration tomorrow Wednesday, Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) has sent a warning to those it describes as ‘nation wreckers’ who are also planning to stage counter demonstration to create unwarranted confusion on the day of “Atta Wayo demonstration’ to hands off or be crushed.
According to a release from the quarters of the civil society group, anybody or group of persons who will make an attempt to foment trouble will not have it easy.

AFAG continued that, it source within the ruling government has picked signals that some unscrupulous persons sympathetic to Mr. Alfred Woyome, the renowned National Democratic Congress(NDC) financier and beneficiary of a whooping sum of GHC928 million (928 Billion Cedis) of the tax payers’ money are feverishly organizing and arming themselves to cause trouble.
“This we see clearly as a grand machination by the powers that be to derail the focus of AFAG from throwing more light on the corrupt deeds of the NDC government,” it stated.
The statement continued that, as a group AFAG will not concede to any pressure to stop its demonstration as it is within the right of every Ghanaian to hit the streets and protest against any injustice and corruption. “We want to state in unequivocal terms that, AFAG is fully prepared for the occasion and will as a result not hesitate to smoke out, deal ruthlessly with and crush to ashes any imposter who sets out to foment trouble in their midst.”
It assured all the genuine demonstrators of their safety and security through its internal security measure to complement that of the Ghana Police Service since it has complied with the Public Order Act.
The civil society group has also invited all other groups to join in the demonstration. These are the TUC, GPRTU, PROTOA, Petty Traders Association, Dress Makers Association, Fisher Folks, Student Bodies and all Labour Unions gravely affected by the gross mismanagement and ‘killer’ policies of the Mills-Mahama government to pour out in their numbers to demonstrate that ultimate power reside with the masses and not the privileged few in government.
