2017 AFCON qualifier: Foovi Aguidi named in Togo squad

Togo coach Tom Saintfiet has invited Hearts of Oak striker Foovi Aguidi for in this month’s back-to-back 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tunisia.

Aguidi has become a regular fixture in the Belgian’s recent list after he was named for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uganda in November.

He has played two matches for Hearts of Oak in the three-week old Ghana Premier League and yet to score a goal.

Togo travel to the Stade Olympique de Rades to play the Carthage Eagles on 25 March and will host the return leg four days later at the Stade de Kégue in Lome.

The Hawks top Group A with six points after opening wins over Djibouti and Liberia.
