Review Protocol admissions to SSS - Bishop Allotey

Ajumako (C/R) Sept.30, GNA - The Right Reverend Daniel Allotey, Anglican Bishop of Cape Coast, on Thursday called for a review of the quota and protocol systems for admissions into second cycle institutions to reduce problems associated with the computerised selection. He said the review should be in the interest of the local community and custodians of the land on where the institution had been built. Rt. Rev. Allotey, made the call when addressing the opening session of the Third Synod of the Cape Coast Diocese of the church at Ajumako. The theme for the Synod is "Behold I make all things new".

He said although the computerized system was to ensure admissions were made more effective, it was fraught with more problems than answers. Rt. Rev. Allotey was optimistic that solution would be found to the teething problems and the system improved upon in future. 30 Sept.05
