No need to rely on leaked exam papers - NGO

The Ghana Schools Project, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has advised students to study hard to be successful in their examinations.

Mr Anthony Kwaku Amoah, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the organisation, said there was no need to look for leaked examination papers, usually referred to as "apor" if students take their lessons serious and read their notes well.

Speaking at a career guidance forum at the Action Progressive Institute, a private WASSCE remedial school in Accra, Mr Amoah, who is also a teacher and counsellor, advised the students “to love their books and study well rather than resorting to foul means of making grades.”

"I studied my notes alongside past questions right from my basic level through to the Masters level and that helped me a lot. Just try it and you will not regret. Chasing a thing like ‘apor’ is nothing more than a mere waste of time, energy and resources. It is hard work and dedication that brings the fine results you are looking for," he said.

The PRO used the occasion to spell out the requirements for entry into some programmes in selected tertiary institutions and the prospects that awaits them upon completion.

"If nursing should fail you, it does not mean teaching too will reject you. Make sure you apply for a course that your grades and capability can carry."

The Ghana Schools Project, a non-governmental organization, has been in existence for about ten years now and had been instrumental in the delivery of quality education and health care in Ghana.
