Lower West Akyem MP Commends Akyem Abuakwa PCG Women Group

The member of parliament for the Lower West
Akyem Constituency , Hon Gifty Klenam has
commanded women in the Akyem Abuakwa
Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of
Ghana (PCG) for their vital roles in the Socio
economic development of the country and the
church in particular .
She explained that women were the best
managers in the management of resources
and ensured prudent use whatever they had
been entrusted with.
She encouraged women in the church and
country at large not to be afraid of the
opposite sex their fields of endeavours.
Hon. Gifty Klenam gave the commendation at
the 43rd Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery Women’s
Fellowship Conference at Asamankese.
The four day conference was to assess the
performance of the group in the immediate
past year and strategize for the current year.
Over three thousand women drawn from all
the twenty-one districts in the presbytery
attended the conference.
Hon. Gifty Klenam urged Christian women to
let truth prevail at wherever they found
themselves.
Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Ansa Peasa
applauded women in the PCG for their
valuable support for their families,
communities and Ghana at large.
He appealed to women in the country
especially Presbyterian women to continue to
support their husbands in the upkeep of their
homes.
Rev. Ansa Peasa advised the women to
beware the activities of false prophets
stressing “it is good you go to prayer camps
or centers to pray for all us but go to
Presbyterian and other true Christ prayer
camps “
The Presbytery Chairperson called on women
to have positive mind set about their children
and encouraged their female children to go
into ministerial work.
Presbytery Director of Church Life and Nurture
(CLAN), Rev. George Amo Takyi advised
women in PCG to be prayerful and ask God to
help them provide good counsel for their
families and churches for peace and
happiness to prevail.
