PTA builds GH ¢160,000.00 bungalow for Prempeh College

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the Prempeh College has completed two-semi detached staff bungalows for the school at a cost of GHC 160,000.00.

The official inauguration of the project on Friday, coincided with the donation of an- GH¢85,000.00 15-seater Toyota bus to the school by the association.

Dr. Robert Agyeibi Asuboah, Chairman of the school’s PTA, pledged to continue to assist and create the right environment to enhance teaching and learning.

They had already helped to wall the school compound and constructed a dormitory with the capacity to accommodate 120 students.

He suggested the formation of a national umbrella body for the PTAs to provide a forum to deliberate on PTA charges with a view to lessening the burden of parents.

Dr. Asuboah said it was important not to over-burden parents with levies.

The Headmaster, Mr. Emmanuel Kwabena Yeboah, commended the association for its immense contribution towards the improvement of the school’s infrastructure.

The new addition to the teachers’ accommodation was refreshing and that the bus was also a big relief, considering the transportation challenge they faced.

Baafour Owusu Asare Amankwatia IV, the Bantamahene, asked the school authorities to take good care of the bungalow and the bus.
