Sixty needy persons to participate in HPP programm

Sixty needy persons selected from the Tema Metropolis are to benefit from financial, technical and motivational support from the Lesedi Foundation; a non-profit organization contributing to the positive transformation of the lives of the vulnerable and the marginalized.

Mrs Josephine Ami-Narh, Lead Coordinator of the Foundation who announced this in Tema at the weekend at the foundation’s “Help Portrait Project (HPP)" explained that the project would offer the beneficiaries the opportunity to be transformed in their looks and appearance through special make-ups.

Mrs Ami-Narh further explained that photographs of the beneficiaries would be taken before and after the make-up to show a contrast of what they looked like and what they could become.

Subsequently, she said they would be given career and motivational counseling, which would provide a basis for screening and selection for special support.

She said the HPP is held twice a year in selected areas in and around Tema, during which officers of the Foundation interview targeted persons in selected communities.

Mr. Immanuel Tettey, Executive Member of the Foundation commended the project partners for their positive and numerous contributions towards the successful implementation of the project.

Mr. Tettey urged the youth to engage themselves in useful ventures that would impact positively on their lives.

He said last year, the Foundation organised a number of social support programmes in Tema and its environs for over 2,000 beneficiaries. **
