Asantehene assists Tweneboa Kodua SHS with 63-kv generator

Kumawu (Ash), May 31, GNA - Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has made available a 63-kilovolt generator to the Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School at Kumawu.

This was in fulfilment of a pledge he made to the school during its 50th anniversary celebration. Oheneba Adusei Poku, the Akyempimhene, said the donation was a further demonstration of the Asantehene's commitment to the promotion of education.

Already, about 30 students of the school are enjoying scholarship under the Otumfuo's Education Fund. Nana Peprah Kodua, Regent of Kumawu who received the generator on behalf of the school, said the generator was a big relief to the school.

He thanked the Asantehene for the donation. The Headmaster, Mr Anthony Willie Nantwi, complained about the erratic water supply to the school and appealed for a water tanker. Kumawu, over the decades, had been grappling with acute water problems, a major source of worry to students and teachers.
