'Just as ex-president Mahama, NDC running mate is affable, honest, and intelligent' - Bole MP

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency in the Savannah Region Hon. Alhaji Yusif Sulemana has said that the choice of Prof Naana Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama is very commendable because just as President Mahama, she is affable, honest, intelligent and committed to the development of Ghana.

Prof Opoku-Agyemang brings on board a vast international exposure, experience and recognition. Her choice is very positive for Ghana’s forward march and a recognition of the gender demographic dynamics of our country and she will bridge the age-old gender gap and promote social inclusion.

A statement issued and signed by the MP for Bole-Bamboi Constituency on 6th June, 2020 commended former President John Mahama for taking the decision to appoint an honest, affable, intelligent and committed to the development of Ghana.

The MP said former President John Dramani Mahama’s decision of choosing Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman is to narrowing the disparity and eliminating gender-based discriminations in the country.

The Bole MP further said Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman’s appointment is a positive choice for NDC and the entire Ghanaian community.

“Over the years, women groups and rights advocates have worked at narrowing the disparity and eliminating gender-based discriminations. The choice of Prof presents the greatest opportunity in the history of our country for a real change” the MP said.

He added that; “The challenge is on all these groups, the women and even the well-meaning men of this country to work to make Prof the first female Vice President.”

Alhaji Yusif Sulemana said, “Prof’s vast experience, especially in educational management and restructuring, is crucial for resolving the challenges bedevilling the educational sector”.
