CPIC donates to orphanage home

The Christian Praise International Centre (CPIC) on Friday presented a cheque for GHC3,000.00 for the upkeep of inmates of Nissi Care Orphanage in Dormaa – Ahenkro in the Dormaa Municipality of Brong – Ahafo.

Other items, which were presented together with the cheque include 400 pieces of toilet roll, two buckets of Kleesoft detergent, six cartons of carbolic and toilet soaps, buckets, assorted biscuits and drinks, as well as some second hand clothes valued at GH¢ 1,000.00.

The donation was made on the occasion of the first anniversary celebration of the passing of the Church’s Founder, Bishop Professor Augustine Annor - Yeboah and the Church’s Annual National Tarry Camp, which brought together all the branches of the Church across the country as well as from Cote D’ Ivoire to Dormaa – Ahenkro.

Making the presentation, Apostle Dr. Stephen Owusu Jackson, the National Chairman of CPIC, stated that the Church was dedicated to advancing the socio-economic well-being of widows and orphans, which were virtues cherished and espoused by the Founder.

He said the donation was an expression of love and concern that the Church showed to the underprivileged in society, and pledged its continuous support for the home as and when needed.

Reverend Mrs. Ntow Darko, the Managing Director of the Orphanage, thanked the Church for the kind gesture and asked for God’s blessing for members.

She said the home was experiencing difficulties, and the timely donation would go a long way to ameliorate some of the socio-economic challenges facing the inmates.
