Congratulatory message to President John Mahama on his election as the president of the Republic of Ghana
On behalf of the Executives and the entire membership of the National Association of Gonjaland Students (NAGS), and myself, I wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you, Your Excellency John Dramani Mahama, for this great personal achievement. The success of the elections is yet another milestone in the consolidation of democracy in Ghana. We believe that your election was neither by share magic nor coincidence, but by your hard work and the confidence Ghanaian populace has in your demonstrated leadership skills and your ability to steer the ship of the state through stormy weather. As you begin your new term of office we pray that the Almighty God will continue to shower you with blessings, wisdom, courage and sustained good health for the onerous task ahead. We also hope and pray that you will be able to deliver on your campaign promises as a failure to do this is will be a great disappointment in the upcoming youth. NAGS expresses the hope that with the overwhelming support you had in Gonjaland including some other areas to make this triumph, you will not turn your back on the Gonjaland student and the entire Gonjaland as far as development is concerned. We believe that as you take inspiration from the parlance that “to whom much is given much is expected”, every community shall receive a fair share of the national cake though we don’t know the size of the cake.
We are indeed grateful and proud of you Mr. President and we are assuring you of our unflinching support and encouragement in your tenure.
LONG LIVE NAGS, LONG LIVE GONJALAND, LONG LIVE GHANA!!
ADAMS MUMUNI (President, NAGS-national)
