Youth Group Rallies for Prez Mahama

Determined Youth group For Victory 2012, a group made up of young enthusiastic supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said President John Mahama is better qualified to lead the country in 2013 than any of the other Presidential aspirants.

According to the youth group, President Mahama's experience in the political game and his achievement alone place him at a better pedestal than the other aspirants.

Mr. John Afful, speaking on behalf of the group, said that President Mahama, unlike the other aspirants, has an enviable track record.

“His achievements as Member of Parliament, Deputy Minister, Minister, Vice President and now President, speaks for him and nothing else,” he said.

He told The Enquirer that President Mahama as Vice President excelled perfectly as the Chairman of the Police Council, Chairman of Fire Service Council among others.

“Look at the morale of the police, the accoutrement for the Fire Service and the kind of things that have been provided to the security services and one will know that President Mahama is on top of his job,” said.

Mr. Afful told The Enquirer the group would champion those achievements and track record of the President in all corners of the country.

“President Mahama's role in various economic activities in Northern Ghana is something that we will be trumpeting because it is fantastic,” he added.

According to him, the push for victory for Mahama should be devoid of character assassination because President Mahama has never been part of such game.

“For us, President Mahama has what it takes to continue with the good work the NDC is doing and we will support him towards victory,” he said.
