Exp Ghana, Africa's largest and leading experiential agency network has launched a Health and Wellness Programme for staff to ensure that they strike a work-life balance and healthy lifestyle.
Mr Abdul-Aziz Amankwa, Exp Ghana Country Manager, said the programme was aimed at maintaining a workplace culture where all staff felt secure and supported in making healthy lifestyle choices.
He said the overall aim of the Health and Wellness programme was to create an enabling environment for workers who are always under stress to undergo regular healthy exercise.
He said, as a Marketing and Communications Agency, Exp Ghana seeks to translate its passion for advising clients about communication insight, strategy and creativity, to also build a healthy workforce.
“Without a healthy workforce, organisations’ projects will not be executed, whilst huge sums of money are spent on hospital bills. Companies can reduce their health bills drastically through well-balanced Health and Wellness programme,” he said.
Mr. Amankwa again said that to achieve this, management must incorporate staff wellbeing and health into the general policy scheme and budgeted for annually and that healthy workforce was equally important and a paramount factor for the development of workplace health and wellness programme.
This, Exp Ghana explained was the reason why it launched the company’s Health and Wellness Programme at the Total Fitness Center, A&C Mall, where Staff would be regularly taken through various gym sessions like aerobics, spinning, aqua-aerobics and many others.
The EXP Ghana Health and Wellness Programme also involves a bi-annual nutrition and health session with experts, annual blood donation to the national blood bank, annual physio sessions and preventive health screening.
Others services it renders are financial management clinics, monthly contributions towards selected charity causes, staff family day out, wellness walk and detox challenges.
