Nursing Training School receives support

The students of Binghamton University, State University of New York’s Department of African Studies, have donated a quantity of medical supplies to the Community Health Training School in Winneba.

The items include blood pressure unit with Sprague Rapp port stethoscope, 60Ml syringes, microscope, medical health books and Gravity Set Tubular Pour alimentary.

The donation was part of a study programme abroad between Binghamton University and the Community Nurses Training School in Winneba.

Neenyi Ghartey VII, Paramount Chief of Effutu presented the items on behalf of the donors.

The benefactors are Professor Anthony Ephirim-Donkor (Nana Obrifo Owam X Chief of Gomoa Mprumemu) a Ghanaian-based in Binghamton and Chair Associate of Binghamton University, Department of Religion and African Studies, initiator of the programme and Prof Titilayo Okoror, Programme Director, a leader of a team from the University of Binghamton who are on the study tour.

Madam Minnie Okai, Principal of the Community Health Training School thanked the donors for the gesture.
