Ahondwo youths arrest alleged robber

Nkwanta, Sept. 22, GNA - Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Daniel Ametefe, has announced that a notorious robber troubling the Nkwanta area has been arrested. Briefing the GNA, the ASP who is in charge of Nkwanta South, said when information about the latest robbery broke out, the youths of the community organized a search party to scour the area for the robber who had gone into hiding.

His latest robbery, the ASP added, occurred when he robbed a farmer Abudu Karim of 1,000 Ghana Cedis. It was after this robbery that the youths of the Ahondwo area intensified their search and found the robber Emmanuel Nartey, 24. He was immediately handed over to the police. ASP Ametefe added that on September 14, this year, Nartey who also lives at Ahondwo attacked Karim with a club and a machete and robbed him of his money. He then went into hiding for four days whiles Karim was sent to the Saint Joseph Hospital with serious head injuries. He said Nartey was being processed for Court.
