Notable deaths from 2012
Former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama passed away on Nov. 16 @Korle Bu where he had been on admission for some time after suffering from a heart-related condition. he was 66.
His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills, born July 21 1944, died July 24 2012 at the 37 Military hospital, Accra.
Hon. Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, MP for Kwabre West, and a former Ashanti Regional Minister passed away on June 22 after a short ailment. He was Ghana Football Association Executive Committee member and former Vice Chairman of the GFA He was 73.
The MP for Wulensi, Alhaji Saani Idi, passed away early June after battling with an illness and was buried last week.

Rose Hart died July 12. She was a retired track and field athlete specialised in the hurdling, the sprints and the discus throw. Represented Ghana at the 1964 Olympic Games. She twice claimed a gold medal at the All-Africa Games: 1965 and 1973. Died at the age of 70 at the Ridge Hospital.
Radio XYZ owner & SIDALCO boss David Lamptey died on December 5. He was once served as the MP for Korle Klottey Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
Professor Sakyi Awuku Amoa, Former Director-General of the Ghana AIDS Commission died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Monday July 9, 2012
The Chief of Lanbusie and President of the Lambussie Traditional Council in the Upper West Region, Kuoro Kontonbie Yesseh died on June 1, 2012 at the 37 Military Hospital. He was enskinned as the Paramount Chief of Lambussie on April 19, 2011.
