Ghana Tours to launch partnership with Astraeus Airlines

Accra July 4, GNA - Ghana Tours, a UK based charter flight operator to Ghana, would on Wednesday July 6, launch a new airline, Astraeus, a British airline to improve on its services to Accra.

Mr Anthony Ogunseitan, Managing Director of Ghana Tours is to formally present the new business relationship to Ghanaians. This was contained in a statement signed by Stella Tamakloe, Business Development and Public Relations Director of the organisation and made available to the Ghana News Agency on Monday. The statement said, "With the very unpredictable nature of the airline industry, it is always important to manage your public relations well to dispel any doubts or rumours about your operations". Astraeus, the statement said prides itself on the provision of high quality on-board product at all times.

"The company's standard product for example includes complimentary three-course in-flight meals for all passengers with hot towels afterwards with free complimentary soft drinks, "On longer flights operated by its 'premium service' Boeing 757 aircraft, Astraeus screens the latest movies. And on all long flights of five or more hours duration, Astraeus offer additional snack services prior to arrival," the statement said.

According to Mr Ogunseitan, brand awareness is very crucial and after making Britannia Airways almost a household name in Ghana with competitive marketing strategies, it is just as important to make sure that Ghanaians become fully aware of what sort of airline Astraeus really is.

"There is no doubt that Astraeus is not a popular brand in Ghana now. People will always want to know the sort of airline company they are flying with".

Ghana Tours will also launch a new in-flight magazine, 'Sky High', which would be exclusive for passengers, the statement said The event will also coincide with Ghana Tour's centenary flight operation to Accra.

Ghana Tours started utilising the services of Astraeus in May this year, offering twice weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays direct to Accra from London Gatwick, North Terminal. Now, the company is offering three flights a week, with an additional service on Thursdays.
