A member of the Communication team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mark Oliver Kevor says the arrest of the suspects who kidnapped the Canadian girls has vindicated the National Chairman of the party.
According to a statement from the police CID, "the Criminal Investigation Department is investigating various acts of kidnapping and causing unlawful damage, in which credible and actionable intelligence makes Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a suspect."
This statement came after two Canadian girls were kidnapped in Kumasi. On Wednesday, the girls were found and 8 suspects were arrested according to the Ministry of Information.
Speaking on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Thursday, Mark Oliver said: "the NDC Chairman has been vindicated following the arrest of the suspects."
He further added that "he’s just being persecuted. There is nothing linking him to any kidnapping case . . . if even there is anything being manufactured by government and I know in their own sober mood they will know it is not fair . . . nothing exists. It is their own creation. It’s a waste of time, national resources . . . we know the court will also vindicate him".
