Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has been filmed attempting to assault Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George.

The legislator who recorded the video is heard in the background asking the Minister if she wants to assault him after she angrily charged at him during a heated argument with North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey was infuriated by Ablakwa's accusation that the government had inflated the cost ($12 million) of a six-bedroom residence for Ghana’s new mission in Norway.

Sam George, who was ‘secretly’ recording the situation became the target of the agitated Minister as she was visibly unhappy when she realized she was being captured.

She is heard saying, “You can film me” while she rushes towards Sam George but was blocked by other lawmakers present.

The Ningo-Prampram MP is then heard asking, “are you coming to assault me?” after which he threatens to report the incident to the Speaker. He is however advised by some of his colleagues to stop.

The incident occurred in Parliament Monday afternoon.
