Company Donates Fax Machine To Ministry Of Health

Accra KUMESH Ghana Limited, agents of National Panasonic, today presented a facsimile machine and accessories worth more than 2.2 million cedis to the Ministry of Health in Accra. Mr G.T. Kumar, the Director, said the presentation is part of their contribution to bridge the communication gap between regional health services and the headquarters. "We found out that the recent epidemic in the northern sector of the country could have been prevented to some extent if there had been an effective communication link between the ministry and the regions". Dr Joseph Otoo, Director of Health Services, who received the items said it would be sent to the northern region to facilitate their communication system. KUMESH Ghana Limited which deals in audio visuals, office equipment and home appliances made the presentation through the World Health Organisation (WHO). Present was Dr Martin Mandara, Resident Representative of the WHO. Save the Children Fund had last week presented two fax machines to the Upper East and the Brong Ahafo regional offices of the Ministry.
