Executives of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) have toured some industries that were hard hit by last Wednesday’s floods.

Led by its Chief Executive Officer Seth Twum Akwaboah, AGI consoled businesses, which are still counting losses from the floods.

The gesture follows a statement issued by the Association to sympathise with affected industries as well as the loss of any relatives to the inferno at the Goil Filling Station at Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

The floods on Wednesday submerged many firms especially at the North Industrial Area.

Some shed tears when the executives of the Association called on them.

But AGI strongly called on government “to quickly intensify measures to avert future disasters and to ensure continuity of business”.

It said the disaster comes at a time “businesses are already going through difficult times”.

Signed by AGI president James Asare-Adjei, the statement expressed the Association’s commitment to advocate conducive business environment for all.
