Group congratulates Kwasi Nyantakyi on CAF re-election

The Crusaders for Ghana Football write to congratulate the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwasi Nyantakyi on his re-election to serve another mandate on the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as the representative of the West Africa Football Union zone B for the period 2015-2019 at the just ended 37th CAF ordinary General Assembly in Cairo, Egypt).

We are of the firm belief, that the delegates at the General Assembly took this decision as a result of your good work as President of the Ghana Football Association, Chairman of the West African Football Union and Executive Committee Member of CAF as well as the various roles you continue to play towards improving football on the continent and globally. We see this great endorsement as a call to continue to do more in the four years.

We are pleased to know that the West Africa Football Union B zone en bloc threw their support behind you to run unopposed due to the work you have so far done in the various capacities mentioned and the capabilities you bring to the table and to any role assigned you.

The Crusaders for Ghana Football hope that this goodwill extended by the various football associations and eminent football personalities, would motivate you to do more and see you contributing your all to the continuous renewal and transformation of the game in Ghana, Africa and across the globe.

For us, this re-election to the highest decision making body of the continental football association, a feat chalked by only two Ghanaians in our history, is just one reminder of the need for the Ghanaian football community to rally behind you as we collectively work to improve Ghana football, which is a long-term project and not an event.

Despite the many challenges, it is clear that Africa continues to recognize that your commitment and capabilities are still very much needed now more than ever and for the Crusaders for Ghana Football, this re-echoes a similar point locally.

Mr President as you embark upon this responsibility as an Executive Committee member of CAF, we univocally urge you to see the re-election as a new challenge to continue to do your very best for Ghana football and African football and we are confident that with God on your side, you will succeed.

Long live CAF

Long live WAFU

Long live GFA
