Premier League qualification not our agenda – Henry Asante

Kweiman based division one side, Dreams FC, has no plans of qualifying to the nation’s top-flight league for now, despite their strong start. CK Akunnor’s side is currently second in zone three, with 13 points from the available 18.

The dreams start to the ongoing GN Bank DOL has not forced the management of Dreams FC into changing their mind, despite occupying the second slot and just one point behind the leaders.

The Kweiman based club, promised to follow its philosophy of securing their Division status for now before embarking on qualification campaign in the near future.

In an exclusive interview with the club’s Communication Officer, Henry Asante, the experienced sportscaster explained their philosophies as club.

“We have never thought of joining the premier league for now. We set realistic targets before the season and stands by them. The competition is still too young and anything is still possible. Maintaining our league status is our main agenda for now”, Henry Asante briefed.

On his side’s solid performance in the league so far, the sports journalist commended the good work of the technical and the management team.

”We work as a team and that helps in motivating the boys. I think we are ready to face any opponent that comes our way. The confidence level in camp could not have been any higher”, he explained.

Henry pronounced Abdul Bashit as his side’s secret weapon, “our squad is a complete team but Abdul Bashit is a special player. He has huge potentials in him and is a player who can change the colour of a game. He has so far scored 3 goals in the six matches played”, Henry concluded. Dreams FC will be going head to head with Tema Youth at the Kweiman Park, as they eye the top spot from behind.
