Tigo improves service in Eastern and Volta regions

In a bid to improve its customer experience, Tigo has completed expansion work on its Eastern Microwave backbone.

The project will stabilise and improve Tigo’s network quality and resilience in the Eastern and Volta regions.

Tigo invested $1million into the six month project which now guarantees high speed internet connectivity as well as a providing a seamless service.

Beneficiary cities and towns include Tema, Ho, Akosombo, Hohoe, Aflao and surrounding areas.

The Chief Operations Officer for Tigo, Obafemi Banigbe, promised customers in both the Eastern and Volta regions a remarkable improvement.

“Improving network quality is our biggest priority for 2015 and we are committed to ensuring a reliable and consistent quality that enables both consumers and corporate get value for money,” he said.

Over the last two years, Tigo has made several investments in its network infrastructure and architecture, particularly in existing cell sites and communities.
