Harrison Afful returns to Tunisia to watch Esperance’s Cup win

Ghana defender Harrison Afful was present in the stands at the Stade Chedly Zouiten to watch his club Esperance as the Blood and Gold defeated Menzel Bouzelfa 3-1 in the Tunisian Cup on Saturday.

Tunisia’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations goal machine Ahmed Akaichi recorded a brace in the game with Mouez Aboud netting the other goal to ensure Esperance progressed in the Cup competition.

The former Asante Kotoko right-back returned to Tunis this week after failing to complete a move to Al Wahda FC during the January transfer window.

Esperance and Al Wahda FC have agreed to finalize the transfer of Afful before the 28-year-old’s contract with the Blood and Gold expires in the summer.
