Joy Industries picks Fastest Growing Herbal Company in West Africa Award

The management of Joy Industries Limited on Thursday dedicated their Fastest Growing Herbal Company Award in the Year 2014 awarded to the company by the West Africa Magazine to their Parents (Mr. Narh Sorgin and Ms. Edith Deh) who are still alive and stay at Suhum in the Eastern Region.

The Annual Scheme Award, instituted six years ago, which seeks to recognize corporate entities and individuals whose achievements contribute strategically to Africa’s development bestowed the award on the company at a colourful ceremony in Accra on Thursday.

According to Herbal Dr. Manfred Takyi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Joy Industries Limited, the award is a testimony that Ghanians and for that matter people outside the country appreciates good things.

“We dedicate this award to our dear Parents and loyal consumers the world over, especially in Ghana, who have over the years enjoyed the true bitters of the land – Joy Dadi Bitters from Joy Industries. Since the introduction of Joy Dadi Bitters unto the market about two years ago, our growth has been driven largely by consumers demand in Ghana and outside even beyond Africa. We are working to expand our operations within the next couple of months with the introduction of some new brands,” Dr. Manfred Takyi stated.

According to Dr. Manfred Takyi Joy Industries will soon extend their market beyond Ghana to the rest of West Africa and others countries.

The CEO, Dr. Manfred Takyi said Joy Industries was pursuing a vision to build a world class brand using medicinal herbs and world class technology in an environmentally responsible manner to satisfy customers.

“It is with great delight and humility that we at Joy Industries Limited receive this award. Recognitions like this further give a lift to our dreams and encourage us to do more research and ultimately produce innovative products for our consumers’ satisfaction,” he said.

Dr. Manfred Takyi explained that; Joy Industries Limited is aimed at producing high quality products not just for Ghanians but the world at large. “Joy Industries has plans of producing soft drinks as well as water in the years to come to satisfy the needs of our customers,” he added.

According to Dr. Manfred Takyi, quality is of utmost importance to the company and never compromised in the processes at any stage. The company’s Quality Control Department ensures that, products put on the market are wholesome and acceptable to the customers.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Joy Industries Limited, herbal Dr. Harrison Tetteh, also said: “As a reputable company, we are focused on the quality of our product and that is why from the point of extraction to mixing and distilling, careful scientific processes have been put in place to ensure that we maintain the high standard we have been known for.”

The award according to Dr. Harrison Tetteh would go a long way in solidifying Joy Industries Limited mission of producing first class brands using medicinal herbs and world class technology in an environmentally responsible manner to satisfy our customers.

Also, Ideal College took away an award for the best Private Senior High School of the year. Amenfiman Rural Bank, Best Rural Bank of the year, Hon. Yamoah Ponko won the best MCE in the country for the year 2014 and Imperial Transport Company limited won the best private company of the year 2014.

As part of the awards, the magazine dedicated a publication to the honor of recipients by publishing profile and their contributions to the economic development of West Africa.
