Video: Ghana Supporters Unions depart for Malabo

Despite public outcry for government to halt plans of flying fans to Equatorial Guinea and invest in solving the current energy crisis in the country, DailySoccerGhana.com can confirm that the Ministry of Youth and Sports have organized several fans from the various national supporters' unions to make a trip to Malabo to support the Black Stars in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against the host nation Equatorial Guinea on Thursday.

Fans, who spoke to DailySoccerGhana.com, are unsure whether government or the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) paid for the travel expenses, but reports claim government paid for the chartered flights and the services of the Travel and Tours Agency, Travel Matters Limited’s services.

The Black Stars will face tournament hosts Equatorial Guinea in the hope to book a place in the final with Ivory Coast who qualified yesterday.
