GNPC rallies support for the Black Stars in latest TV campaign

The headline sponsors of the Black Stars, GNPC has produced its latest TV Campaign dubbed “It’s worth it” to rally support for the national team in the ongoing 2015 African Cup of Nations (AfCON) in Equatorial Guinea.

The campaign comes in the wake of time when hopes were lost in the national team and fans dejected them of their support. GNPC through this video has been able to generate enthusiasm and excitement for the Black Stars and rekindled hopes of football fans and Ghanaians in general.

The “It’s Worth It” TV Campaign is crafted around the spirit of football, and how it descends to the Ghanaian Society. It features several instances that embodies how Ghanaians perceive football; the silhouette of a young boy running with a Ghana flag, a young lady painting her face in the national colours and fans cheering loudly in victory.

Laced over with an alluring original composition of African drums, and words that mirror the Ghanaian spirit, the “It’s Worth It” campaign shows how passionate, motivated, loyal and united Ghanaians are when it comes to football.

“We thought of stimulating support for the Black Stars. It is about passion, it is about our support for the Black Stars and creating imagery for all: we needed that connection. At a point, we thought someone needed to lead and we did just that to show our unflinching support for the Stars. The team here is happy the Stars are doing well. They are not just our partners; we are their supporters,” said Carmen Bruce Annan, the Corporate Affairs Manager of GNPC.

With just a little over two days of posting the video on YouTube, the viewership has been massive. It appears Ghanaians have fallen in love with their game again. It is a true passion well found. If you haven’t watched the video yet, watch it on YouTube.
