McCarthy awaiting license to make GPL return with Olympics

Ex-Black Stars goalie, Philemon McCarthy, is awaiting his player license card from the Ghana FA to make his debut for Great Olympics in the Premier League, DailySoccerGhana.com can confirm.

The Teshie-based side is expected to secure McCarthy’s card by next Friday before the second registration period is shut at the end of January.

The 25-year-old has been training with the Agosu club since December 2014 after he refused to pen a new deal with Hearts of Oak when his contract expired.

Great Olympics is occupying the 10th position on the Premier League standings with 3 points after losing 2-0 to Ashgold in Obuasi before claiming a 3-2 win over Heart of Lions in Accra on Wednesday.
